Hardship

It feels like riding uphill through deep gravel during a beautiful sunset. Pushing forward takes a ton of work and is exhausting. All you want to do is get to the top so you can stop and enjoy the moment instead of fighting just to move, to breathe. If you slow down too much, you sink.

Yesterday the world heard the news that we lost one of our brightest lights, Jessi Combs, during a land speed record attempt in a jet car. She was already the fastest woman on four wheels, but that didn’t stop her from wanting to be better, push further, climb higher.

One thing I know Jessi would expect and encourage us all to do is KEEP MOVING FORWARD, and, of course, never be afraid to go a little faster. Now and in the future, no matter how hard that uphill ride is, don’t stop. There’s a beautiful view waiting at the top.

Godspeed, wonder woman.
